Harvesting Impact at Folk Schools

June 15, 2023, 1pm Eastern
Presenter: Jennifer DeCoste

Data Collection Methods at LifeSchoolHouse: Jennifer DeCoste, founder of the LifeSchoolHouse network in Nova Scotia, Canada, will present her organization’s creative and intentional Basket of Data Collection Tools and Methods. In order to measure meaningful impact, the LifeSchoolHouse has developed user-friendly methods to “emphasize information about the changes we are creating at individual and community levels, rather than feedback about any one event and how it was delivered”.

In this webinar, learn how the Harvesting Our Impact project was developed out of the desire to measure impact at folk schools, to understand how the project was implemented and the results LifeSchoolHouse has seen, and to learn how to implement similar data collection tools and methods at your own folk school or organization.

This webinar is funded through the Folk Education Network AmeriCorps ORE Grant. This material is based upon work funded by the Office of Research and Evaluation at AmeriCorps under Grant No. 22REACA001 through the National Service and Civic Engagement research grant competition.
